FCRA Procedures

Certification of FCRA Compliance
Users of Consumer Reports must certify to the CRA they are in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. GroupOne is committed to providing its clients with tools and information necessary to maintain a compliant process.

Contractual and electronic certification procedures ensure the employer will:

Obtain authorization and disclose the intent to procure a consumer report
The employer is obligated to disclose to each applicant (consumer) on a clear, conspicuous and separate document consisting only of the disclosure, that a consumer report may be obtained for employment purposes.

The employer must receive authorization, in writing, from the consumer for the procurement of the report.

Know and comply with adverse action procedures for employment purposes
Before any adverse action based in whole or in part on the GroupOne Report, that you will provide to the consumer to whom the report relates a written notification of your receipt of said information, a copy of the report and a description in writing of the rights of the consumer under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

The employer also certifies that information from the consumer report will not be used in violation of any applicable Federal or State equal opportunity law or regulation.
